K-패션을 대표하는 국내 디자이너들이 올 가을·겨울(F/W) 패션 트렌드를 선보인 ‘2023 춘계 서울패션위크’가 지난 3월 15일부터 19일까지 동대문디자인플라자(DDP)에서 성황리에 개최됐다.
서울시가 주최하는 이번 서울패션위크에서는 23개 국내 최정상 디자이너 브랜드와 7개 신진 디자이너 브랜드, 1개 기업쇼 등 총 31회의 패션쇼 무대에 올라 2023F/W 패션 트렌드를 발신한 주요 브랜드 런웨이 컬렉션을 소개한다.

브랜드 컨셉:
공방 중심의 작업 방식으로 핸드크래프트 컬렉션을 소개하는 줄라이칼럼은 런던의 아트스튜디오에서 시작되어 해외 패션 하우스에서의 경험과 노하우를 녹인 전문직 여성을 위한 아카이브 컬렉션으로 전개되고 있다.
줄라이칼럼은 시대적 주제를 칼럼과 같은 컬렉션으로 시사하고, 그 과정과 결과물을 7월의 기념비로 아카이브화 하고자 하는 디렉터의 의도가 담긴 브랜드.
오랜 세월 입고 간직한 아버지의 셔츠, 양복, 어머니의 스카프와 장신구 등 세월과 이야기가 있는 것들로부터 시작되어 전통과 과정, 장인 정신을 존중하는 전문직 여성을 타겟으로 한 모던 부티크 문화를 만들어 가고 있다.
작업 공간과 부티크가 함께 자리잡은 줄라이칼럼에서는 마스터 재단사, 재봉사 등 인하우스의 장인들에 의해 제작된 컬렉션 라인을 통해 최상의 핏과 테일러링, 개인의 취향이 반영된 디테일들을 느끼실 수 있도록 원맨메이드 서비스를 제공하고 있다. 과잉 생산을 막아 낭비를 줄이는 것을 목표로 전개하고 있으며, 한국 정서를 기반으로 전통적인 기법과 서양식 드레이핑을 결합해 강렬한 여성스러움과 시대를 초월하는 우월함을 강조한 룩, 크래프트 정신의 핸드메이드 아트워크를 다양한 기법으로 옮겨 표현한 보다 합리적인 고퀄리티 인하우스 컬렉션을 만들어 가고 있다.
Julycolumn experimentally takes the creative-minded professional woman’s lifestyle into consideration,
celebrating them through collections that encompass every angle of the multi-faceted lives of women.
Fashions that are targeted for a specific clientele which usually are only available in an environment of extreme exclusivity are made more approachable through Julycolumn's tireless effort to establish respect for tradition, process, and craftsmanship. The boutiques made-to-order production model achieves an exclusive and personal experience for the clientele, through long term communication and deep understanding of the modem women’s lifestyle.
The sister creative directors of Julycolumn, SOOY and JAY spent their adolescent living and studying in London, respectively earning their degrees in Central Saint Martins and London College of Fashion. Now based in Seoul, Korea, Julycolumn maintains its aesthetics which originated from an art studio in East London
and inspired by the spirits of 'Arts & Crafts Movements' of the 19th century Britain. The designs hero effortless femininity, celebrating the construction of the garments through knowledge of Korean traditional disciplines and techniques.
Julycolumn introduces collections that challenge the current consumption model by blurring the lines between classic and contemporary designs with meticulously crafted items, creating a conscious self-expressive wardrobe that is experimental but thoughtful of the modern woman.
2023FW 시즌 컨셉:
자연과 하나되고자 하는 소박함과 가장 자연스럽게 드러난 색.
비단 위에 화려하고 짙은 채색의 청록산수기법으로 그려낸 조속의 '금궤도'에서 부터 김기창의 '군마도' 등 먹의 수묵과 농담의 아름다움과 그로부터 느껴지는 역동성까지.
먼 산은 군청, 주산은 녹청, 산 주름의 능선에는 녹청 위에 군청을 덧칠하는 등 불투명한 재료적 기법을 사용해 입체감과 역동성을 나타낸 한국 미술에서 영감 받아 자연의 순수하고, 건강하고, 자연스러운 색과 전통성을 시즌 키워드로 삼았다.
정교한 테일러링과 디테일, 장인정신을 계승하는 손 작업 등을 기반으로 자연의 아름다움과 생동감을 색의 단계적 차이와 핸드크래프트 모티브를 통해 줄라이칼럼만의 독창적인 디자인 철학을 전개한다.
‘자연과 역사는 언제나 예술의 산모’라고 보는 예술 철학을 수용하여 기존의 클래식한 디자인을 다양한 시각에서 재해석했다.

The collection is hooked to the brands continued focus of in-house craftsmanship and detailed focused classics. Crafting this state of femininity and appreciation for knowledge of tradition most straightforwardly with a trove of inspiration from Korean art.
During the Joseon period towards the end of 14th century, the country’s technology and arts developed remarkably. By reimagining the feminine silhouettes of the Hanbok, traditional Korean materials of Sambe fabric and ink wash painting techniques, the traditional spirit is seeped throughout the collection.
